We are pleased to announce that The Prop House Cafe at Pinewood Nurseries HAS NOW REOPENED for the new season and Anita, Kathy and David are delighted to be taking over its running and management.
David is a graduate of the prestigious Leith’s School of Food and Wine in London which enabled us to establish a successful catering company covering London and its surrounding areas. Looking for a change in direction (and some sun!), Kathy and David re-located to the beautiful Greek island of Crete to establish a guesthouse that featured in The Guardian’s top 100 food breaks before returning to the UK.
Our aim is to provide seasonal and good quality food using local produce and suppliers and, of course, the fantastic farmhouse shop at Pinewood. As well as wishing to attract people who love their food from as far afield as possible we would also like to become a real hub for the local community in the cafe’s relaxing greenhouse setting.
To this end we hope to be offering delicious cooked breakfasts at weekends and some lovely brunch options on Sundays but we would love to see you at any time of day for a cup of tea or coffee and some homemade cake or, if you have a bit more time, a delicious hot or cold lunch on any day of the week.
We are all very passionate about our food and are really excited by this wonderful opportunity. All our food is homemade and we will be introducing the new menu gradually from when we open and your patience and forbearance would be appreciated whilst we are discovering the quirks of our new home!
